Join Us For a Taste of Farm Life
​INVITATION REQUIRED
Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard is a working family farm with limited personnel and a lot to get done. As such, we currently offer invitations to join us on the farm by appointment only. Securing an invitation to join us ensures that we're available to cultivate an enjoyable experience.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Due to current space limitations, we do not have a dedicated tasting room. This allows us the flexibility to deliver a tasting experience virtually anywhere, creating a unique atmosphere as compared with many Virginia wineries.
Our farm winery is surrounded by pastures where our farm animals frolic and graze. So, it may be possible to catch a glimpse of cattle, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, ostriches, tortoises, and barn kitties. Our vineyard, however, is on the opposite side of the property and is not easily accessible without traipsing through the pastures. As such, it will not be accessible as part of your visit.

WINE AND AGRICULTURAL OFFERINGS​​
​Our currently available wines are available through a 6-wine tasting experience ($10/participant), by the glass, and by the bottle. We also offer wine gear for opening, serving and preserving wine, as well as farm-fresh eggs produced by our free-range hens (subject to availability). ​​​

We have a restroom available for use, though it is not handicapped accessible.

Wine Tasting Experience
Unwind while taking in the views from available seating on our front porch, enjoy the open air from our picnic table while the kids (or adults; we don't judge) play on the available playground equipment, or enjoy a sip from the warmth of our cozy igloo (available beginning mid-January).
We do not offer food onsite. We do encourage you to pack a picnic, bring a charcuterie for experimental pairings with our wine, or order food from one of the local restaurants in downtown Staunton.

Quickly pick up an online order, retrieve your latest TPV Uncorked allotment, or spend a few moments in the farm winery curating a new order with some of your favorite Twisted Pines Vineyard wines.

Policies
​​NO OUTSIDE ANIMALS
As a working farm with a variety of our own animals, we maintain a “no outside animal” policy (including emotional support, therapy, and comfort animals). This is for health and safety of your pets, our animals, and all others onsite.
We recognize the important role service animals** play and that some situations may necessitate an accommodation from our policy. We kindly ask that you contact us in advance to determine whether special accommodations can be made if you require a service animal.

FARM ANIMALS
Our farm animals are safely secured in appropriately fenced pastures, though our small poultry, barn cats, and goats may occasionally wander the grounds. You are welcome to enjoy the animals safely from the people-side of the fenced areas. For the safety of our guests and our animals we ask that you adhere to the following:

Do not reach over or through fences. Do not sit, lean, or climb on fences. Do not lift others over fences.

Do not open or otherwise enter through closed gates.

Do not enter the barns, fenced pastures, or other animal enclosures unless accompanied by Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard personnel. Potential for entry is at the discretion of our personnel.

Animals within fenced areas may not be touched, fed or disturbed without expressed permission and supervision by our personnel. Free-roaming animals may be pet if they will allow it.

Do not attempt to chase, ride, hit, flail at, harass or tease the animals. Do not throw objects at animals or into enclosures. Avoid loud sounds that might scare or spook the animals. ​
All of our farm animals are on structured diets. Please do not feed the animals outside food, as it can cause illness. Approved treats may be available, though the opportunity to feed any animal is at the discretion of our personnel.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
Use of playground equipment is allowed at the discretion of an accompanying adult. Its use is available at your own risk.

GUEST SAFETY & CONDUCT
There are inherent risks when participating in agritourism activities, such as joining us on the farm. Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard is not responsible for personal accidents that occur on the farm property. By entering the farm property, and in alignment with Code of Virginia Title 3.2, Chapter 64***, you assume liability and responsibility for your own safety and the safety anyone accompanying you, including minors.
Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard is a working farm. As such:

Shoes should be worn at all times when walking the grounds. We strongly encourage closed-toed shoes and discourage shoes with open toes or heels.

Farm equipment is present and may be in use. Please do not climb on or attempt to operate it.

Guests are expected to remain respectful of our property.​​​

RESTRICTIONS
No smoking or vaping on the premises. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted per Virginia law. No glitter or confetti. Items should not be tied or taped to the buildings, igloo, fencing, or other furnishings.

CANCELLATION POLICY​​
By securing a time to join us, we are dedicating time from our day to cultivate an enjoyable experience for you. We also recognize that life happens and plans change. To help us provide the best experience for all, we kindly request that you reschedule or cancel your request at least 48 hours in advance.
In the event of inclement weather that impacts safe access to the farm winery, guests will be offered an opportunity to reschedule or cancel without penalty.
Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard reserves the right to cancel experiences for those that arrive more than 20 minutes late. We also reserve the right to decline future requests from guests that request a late cancellation or fail to show.

CONSENT
By requesting an invitation to join us, you consent to receive emails from Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard. By joining us onsite, guests consent to adhere to the policies as outlined above; guests assume responsibility for ensuring accompanying minors adhere to these polices. Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard reserves the right to refuse or revoke invitations from anyone engaging in conduct that violates these policies, as determined by our personnel.​
Location & Arrival
Located in Augusta County, our farm is nestled along Virginia State Route 252, just 5 miles west of Historic Downtown Staunton’s city center and 6.5 miles from the I-81/I-64 East junction (Exit 221).
You can find us at 247 Oak Springs Lane in Staunton, VA.
Oak Springs Lane is a single lane drive. Please be mindful of the 15-mph speed limit and use caution when crossing the bridge, coming over the hills, and around the bends. Other vehicles, farm equipment, and children at play may be present.
Follow the paved road to the end, approximately .6 miles, continuing to follow it right until you have passed between the black fencing with the white farm sign and 247 on either side. Then, continue straight onto the gravel loop toward the two green and white buildings. We'll be ready to greet you at the covered porch of our barn winery.
